Our Wounded Warriors from the Walter Reed Medical Center get a VIP weekend on Staten Island. Here are some Highlights of the SIWOH! 2011 during Armed Forces Day wekend: (There are many hard workers left out of this list!)
- Nicotra's Hilton Garden Inn invites our Heroes to stay for free!
- FDNY Borough Command gives our Heroes a VIP welcome and treatment to follow.
- NYPD, NJ State Police, PAPD make our heroes arrival possible.
- Coast Guard Station New York gives our Heroes a VIP boat ride to Ground Zero.
- SI FOP 120 host a special breakfast for our heroes at Nicotra's.
- VFW Post 7172 hosts a VIP All American picnic for our Heroes.
- Burger King on Richmond Ave helps with our Heroes arrival.
- Staten Island Project Home Front sponsors a special meal for our Heroes.
- Volunteers, Volunteers, and more Volunteers, from groups and individuals from Staten Island to make this all happen!
